Upcoming Events

September 14th Meeting

Our regular Neighborhood Watch meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14th, in the Parkersburg Council Chambers, on the second floor of the City Building, 1 Government Square [MAP]. Please enter through the back door. We are allowed to park in the City Building’s rear parking lot for this meeting. As always, our meetings are open to the public. Please invite your friends and neighbors.

Watch Captains, please remind your Watch Group, and if you cannot attend, please send a representative for your group.

Fraternal Order of Police LogoOur special guest for this meeting will be Don Lindsey, Parkersburg’s Homeless Coordinator, who is also the newly-elected president of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 79. The National Fraternal Order of Police is the world’s largest organization of sworn law enforcement officers, with more than 364,000 members in more than 2,200 lodges. They are the voice of those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. They are committed to improving the working conditions of law enforcement officers and the safety of those we serve through education, legislation, information, community involvement and employee representation. No one knows the dangers and the difficulties faced by today’s police officers better than another officer, and no one knows police officers better than the NFOP.

We wish Nyland and Detective Miller much success in sniffing out the bad guys. As always, members of the general public are encouraged to attend, so tell your friends and neighbors.

Regular Bi-Monthly Meeting

The regularly-scheduled Co-op meeting is at 6:00 pm on the second Thursday of every other month, usually in the Parkersburg City Building, 1 Government Square [MAP], but the location changes from time to time. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department and Parkersburg City Police attend our Co-op meetings to answer any questions you may have for your area. The Co-op will be available to assist in you in the establishment of a local Watch Group or to record issues of crime in your area to be passed onto the appropriate law enforcement agency. If you are a concerned citizen and your neighborhood is experiencing crime, then we hope you are able to attend our meetings to record and share your crime issues with the appropriate law enforcement agencies. If you have any questions concerning our meetings or our activities, please feel free to contact Co-op President Cindy Ware at (304) 483-4423 (cell/text)  or email her.

Regular and special meeting specifics will be posted here, on our public Facebook page, and in our private Facebook Group a week or so before each meeting, and notices will also be sent via the Everbridge notification system. We currently have 394 members on our roster, but only about 45 members are indicating that they are receiving our Everbridge notifications.
