Upcoming Events

January 11th Meeting

Our regular Neighborhood Watch meeting will be at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11th in the Parkersburg Council Chambers, on the second floor of the City Building, 1 Government Square [MAP]. Please enter through the back door. We are allowed to park in the City Building’s rear parking lot for this meeting. All Neighborhood Watch members should plan to attend our meetings. As always, our meetings are open to the public. Please invite your friends and neighbors.

Attendance Is Critical

In July 2022 we were instructed that the Parkersburg Police Department wants only active Watch Groups to be included in their Neighborhood Watch program and we have been instructed to remove inactive Watch Groups from the roster. For the past 18 months we have been trying hard to encourage those currently on the roster to be more active and have not had much luck. Accordingly, the January meeting will be the deciding factor.

Watch Captains, if either you or your Co-Captain cannot be present at that meeting and you want your Group to be considered “active,” please be sure to send at least one designated representative. Any Watch Group that does not have at least one designated representative present at the January meeting will be considered “inactive” and will be removed from the roster.

Please Note: This will not affect any Watch Group that has had at least one member attend any of the past three meetings. Those Groups have already been marked as active.

Guest Speaker to be announced

Regular Bi-Monthly Meeting

The regularly-scheduled Co-op meeting is at 6:00 pm on the second Thursday of every other month, usually in the Parkersburg City Building, 1 Government Square [MAP], but the location changes from time to time. The Wood County Sheriff’s Department and Parkersburg City Police attend our Co-op meetings to answer any questions you may have for your area. The Co-op will be available to assist in you in the establishment of a local Watch Group or to record issues of crime in your area to be passed onto the appropriate law enforcement agency. If you are a concerned citizen and your neighborhood is experiencing crime, then we hope you are able to attend our meetings to record and share your crime issues with the appropriate law enforcement agencies. If you have any questions concerning our meetings or our activities, please feel free to contact Co-op President Cindy Ware at (304) 483-4423 (cell/text)  or email her.

Regular and special meeting specifics will be posted here, on our public Facebook page, and in our private Facebook Group a week or so before each meeting, and notices will also be sent via the Everbridge notification system. We currently have 394 members on our roster, but only about 45 members are indicating that they are receiving our Everbridge notifications.
